£95m EuroMillions rollover jackpot

With £95m up for grabs in the EuroMillions lottery I had to have a go, no matter how long the odds of winning are (well to be precise the odds of winning the jackpot are 76,275,360 to one!).

So did I win… uh, no. The winning numbers were 17, 28, 30, 38 and 44, while the Lucky Star numbers were 01 and 04.

My numbers were 6, 12, 21, 26, 34 with the luck star numbers being 4 and 6. So whilst I picked the lucky star I failed to pick any other numbers.

In fact the odds of winning the jackpot were so long that nobody matched all the numbers so the 16 people who matched all five main numbers and one lucky star each received £6,462,181.30.

Six of the winning tickets came from the UK, with five coming from France, two from Switzerland, and one each from Austria, Belgium and Portugal. Which is a great result for the UK as jointly we spent upto £15m buying tickets but won £38.8m on those six tickets alone!
