Turkey v Croatia (£50 free bet)

The 2nd quarter final tonight saw Turkey up against Croatia. Having qualified for a £50 free bet yesterday I bet that on a draw after 90 minutes and matched that bet by laying against the draw at Betfair so no matter what the result I would be £31.21 better off.

The game remained a boring nil-nil draw going into extra time, but Croatia grabbed what looked to be the winning goal with only a minute to go. But Turkey were not finished and in the 4th minute of injury time they found an equaliser to take the game to penalties. Croatia were effectively beaten when they conceded the equaliser and had little confidence going into the penalty shootout and it showed with them losing 3-1 on penalties.
