5 more items sell on eBay
I had another clear out of my wardrobe the other week and managed to fill 2 bags with clothes that no longer fitted me or I no longer wore. Having run 3 miles for Sport Relief last weekend I felt able to overcome my guilt of depriving charity shops of my unwanted stuff and decided to list 5 items on ebay taking advantage of one of their free listing days.
To my surprise all 5 items sold with the star item being a pair of Levi jeans that sold for £22.39 which is not bad as that’s about half the price I paid for them and I wore them quite a bit over the last couple of years.
In total all 5 items sold for £46.89 making me a total profit of £30.74 after £2.39 of eBay fees, £2.60 of Paypal fees and £11.16 of postage costs. I spent about 2 hours in total listing and packing these items so it works out as £15.37 per hour which is a significant improvement on my last lot of eBay auctions.

Nice writing style. Looking forward to reading more from you.
If you’re feeling so guilty depriving charity shops of revenue, why don’t you donate a percentage of your profit to a charity of your choice? This also works as a selling point on ebay; there is an option to advertise the fact a percentage of sales goes to charitable causes.
Mark @ MillionaireAdventure saysI did consider this for a while but ruled it out on the basis that I couldn’t see whether the charity would benefit from Gift Aid and therefore a direct donation to charity would be better for the charity. Have you found that selling prices do increase when you advertise the fact that a percentage of sales goes to charity?
