Bingo!

I signed up with Gala bingo via GreasyPalm today which should net me £12.50 cashback (although I am currently waiting for them to credit my account). In return I had to stake £5 which I promptly lost in just 3 games. A pathetic performance as I didn’t even come close to winning!

Once I had used up my money Gala gave me another £10 to play with which I used to buy as many tickets as possible for the next couple of games. The excitement really started to build as I had 4 tickets down to needing just one more number… (more…)

Free £10 bet with Betfair.com

I received an email from Betfair on Friday offering me a free £10 bet if I staked £10 or more this weekend. I decided to stake £10 of my own money against Man Utd winning the league as another one of my so called insurance bets where I bet against my team so that if they lose I make money!

24 hours after placing this first bet Betfair topped up my account with another £10 as promised for me to bet on a market of my choice. I opted to top up my bet against Man Utd so that I now have a £20 bet which will win me £21.94 if they fail to win the league and I have only staked £10 of my own money. Of course they could win the league and I will have lost £10, but I doubt I will care about £10 at that point!

50p bet wins £1million

One lucky punter staked 50p on the winners of 8 races this week at odds of around 2.8 million to one to win £1 million.  His first pick was a horse called ‘Isn’t That Lucky’ and the last selection was ‘A Dream Come True’. The hunt is now on for the lucky punter as he has not come forward to claim his winnings.

£95m EuroMillions rollover jackpot

With £95m up for grabs in the EuroMillions lottery I had to have a go, no matter how long the odds of winning are (well to be precise the odds of winning the jackpot are 76,275,360 to one!).

Royal Ascot

So my run of bad luck with the horses continues, our of six races I only got to make one smug trip back to the bookies to claim my winnings and that was for the 8/13 clear favourite Yeats in the Gold Cup.
