Holland brush Italy aside in some style tonight beating them three nil with a very impressive attacking display. Whilst tonight’s game really could have gone either way before kick off, the outcomes of my betting on the game was far more predictable. That’s because I had a £50 free bet from the bookmaker that I registered with yesterday that I used to back Italy. Then to ensure that I won money either way I lay against Italy with Betfair again. This meant the possible outcomes tonight were:

Betfair |
Bookmaker |
Total |
| Italy win |
-£46.53 |
£80 |
£33.47 |
| Draw/Holland win |
£29.47 |

There was no sign of my free bet from yesterday so I signed up with another bookmaker that was offering a £50 matched bet for new customers. This time I bet on the battle between Germany and Poland with £50 going on Germany to win with the bookie and the lay bet against Germany being staked with Betfair.
The possible outcomes for this match were:

Betfair |
Bookmaker |
Total |
| Germany win |
-£28.08 |
£28.57 |
£0.49 |
| Draw/Poland win |
£49.40 |
-£50.00 |
-£0.60 |

I used the Portugal v Turkey game today to set up a matched bet by taking advantage of an online bookmakers signup offer. I deposited £20 in my new account and bet this on the game being a draw at odds of 3.5. I then lay against the game being a draw on Betfair at odds of 3.55. So the possible outcomes were:

Betfair |
Bookmaker |
Total |
| Draw |
-£51.00 |
£50.00 |
-£1.00 |
| Portugal/Turkey win |
£19.00 |
-£20.00 |

Euro2008 kicked off today without England so to make the tournament more interesting I am going to see how much money I can win throughout the tournament. Decided to start off slowly with a free £3 bet from bluesq.com that I bet on the Czech Rep to beat Switzerland in the opening game. This netted me a £2.40 profit for risking none of my own money.
There is no bigger trophy that your football club can win than the Champions League so I was understandably emotional going into the final as I was desperate for Man Utd to win.
Back in November I bet £30 against United winning the Champions League. As it’s a tricky trophy to win and we have failed to lift the trophy since 1999 the odds were quite long so I only stood to win £5 if we got knocked out.
In the build up to the big game I became more nervous about my teams chances and bet another £20 against United winning. Man Utd and Chelsea were so evenly matched prior to the game that the odds were close to even.
