So my run of bad luck with the horses continues, our of six races I only got to make one smug trip back to the bookies to claim my winnings and that was for the 8/13 clear favourite Yeats in the Gold Cup.

Now that the football season has come to an end I have decided to withdraw my profits from my Coral betting account. In total I have made over £50 but I’ll leave a few pounds in the account for next season and take £50 to the millionaire adventure bank. The money won’t be spending much time in the bank though as I am off to Royal Ascot in 3 weeks!
I placed another one of what I am calling ‘insurance bets’ where I bet against my team on the basis that my team either wins or I win money. Unfortunately Man Utd lost to Chelsea in the first Wembley cup final but I had bet £30 at odds of 5/6 that Chelsea would win making me a net profit of £25.02
Not knowing a thing about horse racing I decided to bet small stakes as I fully expected to lose what ever I bet. I spent a good hour studying the horse racing pages in the paper to select two horses that I thought stood a chance of winning.
