The first quarter final was played tonight between Portugal and Germany. I used the match to set up two qualifying offers tonight. The first one was with one of my existing accounts offering a free £10 matched bet and the second was a £50 matched bet for registering with a new bookmaker.

The bookie that I signed up for last week offers a free £25 bet to any customers that refer a new customer. Whilst I haven’t convinced anyone to sign up I have however found an existing customer who agreed to give me £15 of the bonus if I said I was referred by him (apparently you have 30 days from signup to do this).
Basically money for nothing, so I gave him my email address to claim the referral and within 24 hours there was £15 in my Paypal account from someone that goes by the username of Munk. Only downside was Paypal took £1.25 in transaction fees reducing my earnings to £13.75, but seeing as this guy is a stranger that I met online I wasn’t about to give him my bank account details instead!

Tonight marked the finale of group C, better known throughout this tournament as the group of death. I used the occasion to cash in my £50 free bet that I had earned over the last week by placing five £10 bets. The free bet went on France to win against Italy, and to ensure I couldn’t lose and offsetting lay bet went against France at Betfair. The possible outcomes were:
