Summer Sale: Update 2

I recently listed another 12 items for sale on eBay to make use of the first positive feedback I had received. Seven of these sold for a total of £47.44, with the majority of this coming from a suit that I sold for £18.

However I have to deduct £15.96 for postage, £3.03 for eBay fees and another £3.03 for PayPal fees. This leaves me with a net profit of £25.42 for 3 hours work, which works out as a disappointing rate of just £8.47 per hour.

Comparing this to my previous sales on eBay the difference seems to be the higher number of items that did not sell, but still required time to list them on eBay.

eBay are offering half price listing fees today so I took advantage of this to continue my Summer Sale challenge. I listed 15 computer games that I no longer play, along with all the items that have not yet sold from my previous attempts.

The great thing about selling computer games is that they are far quicker to list as there is no need to take photos or write long descriptions as it’s all only a mouse-click away on the net already.
