MySupermarket.co.uk
I used the comparison website mysupermarket.co.uk today to save me money on my regular food shop online. The site was very easy to use as I could import my favourites from Tesco and reserve a delivery without having to leave the site.
Everything is shown in illustrated form as well as being described, sometimes in more detail than you find on the supermarkets own website. Any discounts or special offers are clearing shown to help you find the best deals and at the top of the screen there is a running total of how much you have spent and a comparison with the prices from the three other supermarkets available (Sainsbury’s, Asda and Ocado).
When you have finished filling your basket the site works its magic suggesting ways in which you could save money. Even if like me you think you are quite an astute shopper you’ll be surprised just how much MySupermarket can save you. I already always search the special offers pages to make sure I have the best deals, but this site helped me find savings that I would have otherwise missed. For example I was buying a 1kg bag of pasta, but MySupermarket suggested I buy 2 x 500g bags instead as they had 20p of them that week making them cheaper overall.
Once you have finished making changes to your shopping basket you can send your shopping list directly to your choice of supermarket ready for payment on the checkout page. In total it helped me to save £7.26 on this one shop alone for less than 2 minutes reviewing its suggestions. I’ll definitely be using MySupermarket again in the future!
